Love my Veggies!

Another busy week we had. Aunt Jessa was here again staying with us for another week, so that Mommy could work some while she was here. It was also good that she was here because Mommy and Daddy got to go out twice this week and Mommy and Aunt Jessa went to see a movie one night while Daddy stayed home with me.

This was definitely a week of new things: I tried peas and squash with my cereal this week. The peas were a big hit and the squash is growing on me. I like the squash once I start eating it but the first bite I made a face. I'm really getting a hang of this eating deal, because Mommy noticed that I open my mouth when the spoon comes towards my face and I'm getting less and less on my bib and more in my mouth. I'm not too picky when it comes to food of any kind. The other day Mommy was holding me and she was eating pizza and when she put up to her mouth, I leaned in to try and get a bite. Apparently, you need teeth to eat that kind of food.

I also went swimming a lot this week in our pool. Aunt Jessa took me every day that it was nice out and I loved it. I spent up to about an half an hour in the pool kicking my legs like a little frog. Next up, going under water. Mommy wants to do this by the end of the summer and I don't really mind water on my face but we'll see how it goes.

On Friday, Aunt Jessa sent Mommy a message at work that said that I was laughing (like haha laughing), so when Mommy got home she tried it. And the thing that makes me do it a lot is the song "This is the song that never ends" and "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes." I just think those two songs are hilarious and my laugh is very contagious because everyone else laughs when I laugh too.

Now that I've learned to really roll over on my own, I do it every time that someone lays me down on the ground. I, of course get super mad after a little while because I hate being on my tummy and I have no clue how to roll myself back over. Oh well, I'm starting to get too big to lay on the ground anyways. I like it when Mommy has me sit up and gives me a toy. This week, I sat on my own (without my hands on the ground) for about 3 seconds. Most of the time, I can hold it for about a second and then I get wobbly but that's ok because the doctor said that he didn't expect for me to sit on my own until 6 months. I also like standing all the time and while Grandpa was here today getting Aunt Jessa, he said that he thinks I'm going to be walking soon. Oh no, Mommy and Daddy better child proofing our house because I'm growing up too fast.

This week, we're going to try avocados and green beans. Mommy wants me to get all my new veggies out of the way first before we try fruit. So far, I haven't been too picky so hopefully I won't reject the veggies cause I love 'em.
